It is an annual awareness raising event organised by the World Federation for Mental Health. This year’s theme is “Focus on suicide prevention”. We are reminded how the very simple day-to-day interactions we have with others, have the potential to make a difference to someone who may be struggling or feeling vulnerable. A series of events are taking place across Leitrim to encourage people to connect more, both with themselves, with others and with their communities.

Leitrim Suicide Prevention Strategy – have your say!
/in Archive/by Alive2ThriveThe HSE, in partnership with local organisations and community and voluntary
groups are developing a Suicide Prevention Action Plan for County Leitrim. Although
there has been a lot of work ongoing in the county, there is still much that can be
done to promote good mental health, prevent further suicide deaths and support
those who are bereaved by suicide. We want as many people as possible from
Leitrim to contribute to the development of this action plan by contributing local
knowledge and expertise to this challenging topic.
