This year’s World Mental Health Week runs from 6th October – 13th October 2013.
World Mental Health Week offers an opportunity for local communities to raise awareness about the importance of looking after your mental health through a variety of different activities. Mental Health Ireland are linking in with local Mental Health Associations and other organisations with an interest in promoting positive mental health.
Some local events include:
Mental Health Ireland Coffee Morning
‘Mental healthTime = Coffee Time’ is a National Campaign to build awareness among communities around the importance of maintaining good mental health during World Mental Health Week, 6th to 13th October 2013.
Cafes are often the perfect social outlet for people to relax, have some space, meet friends and in short, have some ‘Me Time’. Cafes in Ireland now have the opportunity to work in conjunction with Coffee Culture and Mental Health Ireland in participating and promoting in such a worthwhile and important campaign.
If you would like to support this campaign and do your bit for mental health, drop in for a cuppa to Café Victor, JFK Parade, Sligo on Thursday 10th October or to Lena’s Tearooms, Carrick on Shannon on Friday 11th October. Bring along your friends, families and work colleagues. All proceeds will go towards the continued success of services provided by Mental Health Ireland and local Mental Health Associations.
